National IP Strategy

Thanks to Director Dorothy Li of the Asian Alliance who alerted me that, on April 11, 2012, the Office of the Inter-Ministerial Joint Meeting for Implemention of the National Intellectual Property Strategy released the Promotional Plan for the Impelmentation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy in 2012 (.docx file; the source of the linked file is at: http://english.sipo.gov.cn/laws/developing/201204/t20120410_667158.html). 

In summary, the Plan outlines several key areas of focus:

  1. Enhance quality of IP
  2. Apply IP to Promote the Development of Burgeoning Strategic Industries
  3. Promote IP Application
  4. Intensify IPR Protection
  5. Develop IP in Fields with Comparative Advantages
  6. Enhance IP Management Capacity
  7. Develop IP Service Industry
  8. Foster IP Culture
